Spring is almost here and it’s time to prepare for the upcoming 2009 Goose Pond Church Farmers’ Market.
The North First Street Association, in cooperation with the city of Champaign, is hosting of a downtown Farmer’s market. In order to begin advertising the many products at the market we are seeking vendors who would be willing to participate.
The market is a 10 week market on Thursdays, June 18-August 20, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The location is the north end of the parking lot directly north of the Champaign Police Station. We are calling it the “Goose Pond Church Market”, since it is at the location of the former Goose Pond Congregationalist Church where President Abe Lincoln gave anti-slavery speeches. This summer we are seeking farmers, artists, craftsmen, community groups, and entertainment acts to make the market memorable.
We would like to extend a warm welcome for you to join us here at Goose Pond Church Farmers Market
We sincerely hope that you will accept our invitation to be a part of this festive and fun seasonal
event.
